Sunraysia District Scouts have the opportunity to travel down to Tallarook State Forest to participate in the Victorian ScoutHike, along with 800+ other scouts from around the state. (The local district hike will be held on the same weekend, so Scouts need to choose one or the other.)
The cost to attend the Victorian Scout Hike is $100 (Transport and registration) plus individual's are required to provide their own food for the weekend. (Food can be sorted out closer to the departure date in activity patrols if agreed, this would be approximately $20).
This is a fantastic opportunity for our Scouts to travel to a state event. Numbers are capped at the first 20 Scouts to pay in full through TryBooking. If we do have more interest, we may be able to get an extra van / car and parent helpers to take more scouts.
We are aiming to take 3 x patrols of 6 Scouts (18 Scouts), the remaining 2 seats are available to parent helpers ($50 per ticket for bus transport only).
There is NO COST for parent helpers wishing to attend, who provide their own transport.
Places are limited due to the number of seats on the bus.
