Flying at Jamboree

Check out this optional (at additional cost) off-site activity.

The NSW Scout Air Activity Centre at Camden Airport will be conducting a series of adventure flights, both Power and Gliding during the AJ2010 Jamboree.

The Power Flight
This is a fabulous opportunity to experience the sensation of flight aboard a modern Cessna Skyhawk 172 aircraft. The adventure will begin at Camden Airport with a forty minute scenic tour to the South West of Sydney and will include a fly-over of the AJ2010 campsite at Cataract. During the flight, participants will be able to communicate with the pilot, listen to the Air Traffic Control, observe cockpit procedures or just sit back and enjoy the unfolding panoramic vista. or another great option

Adventurous Gliding
Go further, higher, longer and faster with the ultimate AJ2010 challenge. This modern and environmentally friendly activity provides a ‘hands on the controls’ opportunity to actually FLY a GLIDER. Just you and your instructor in a self launching Super Dimona ‘state of the art’ motor glider. The thirty minute flight will take you way above the airport and surrounding rural countryside on a magical journey of a lifetime.

Don’t miss out on this rare opportunity in a Scout’s Jamboree life.
